Though weddings occur all year long, 33 percent of engagements happen between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day according to WeddingWire. That means for those that have just said Yes!, the planning process is not too far behind.
One of the most exciting parts of planning for your big day, is discovering the perfect venue, booking the best photographer, finding the right décor, and of course trying on the dress of your dreams. Nevertheless, there are what seem to be a hundred tasks that need to occur before the wedding day even happens, and even when that day does come, there seems to be another hundred things that magically still need to be done! But there’s no need to fret! There are many of us in the wedding industry that are here to help ease the anxiety.
One of the easiest things that you can do for yourself is to attend a wedding showcase. Wedding showcases allow both bride and groom to gain a better idea of who they want to be a part of their special day, along with finding all the little things that set the mood and theme.
There are vendors there to talk about alterations, bar services, the honeymoon, gift registry, limousine services, cakes, rehearsal dinner sites, and of course event rentals. It allows you to see the many components that make up a wedding all in one place, and is a fantastic opportunity if you are fortunate to live near an area that is hosting one.
Living here in Eugene, Oregon, we are lucky enough to have two or three larger events a year, which gives couples a chance to check out what Lane County and the surrounding areas has to offer. (We have a lot!)
If you were one of the 33 percent that got engaged over the holidays, the Oregon Wedding Showcase is coming to town and bringing with it over 70 unique exhibitors that are the experts you’re looking for to ease that anxiety. Mark your calendar for January 14th and 15th, 2017! You can purchase tickets at the door for the full price of $10, or save $3 by purchasing them in advanced and using Promo code ELEGANT. (Click here for tickets). We hope to see you there!
